Welcome!

Thank you for joining me on what is sure to be an amazing trip.

I'll set this up with the basic details - I just moved from a 3 story, 3,000 sq ft house on a double lot with a 2 car garage with workshop,  3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms- sewing room in the finished attic, dedicated office, guest room/Air BNB rental space, kitchen with 2 sinks, 4 chickens, spectacular garden...you get the picture. It's a big house with plenty of room for lots of stuff. (and lots and lots and lots more stuff hiding behind that stuff)

On July 25th we closed on the house and I moved on to Xta-Sea II. Xta-Sea is a 40ft long 1954, all wood Chris Craft. She has 3 out-door spaces, a queen sized bed, a galley (kitchen), head (bathroom), cabin (living room), bow-bunk area (walk in closet) and I pilot (drive) from the top deck/Fly Bridge with an old school ship wheel. I have included pictured below and even more on the "Projects and Trips" pages.

I won't jump straight into the how or why of this adventure here.  If you know me- you know. If you don't know me yet- it's interesting but not that unique. Quite the contrary, one of the oldest stories in the book. I was recently told that I am living  "Under The Tuscan Sun" Boat- Edition, and I like it.

For one, I love that movie and second, my aunt told me years ago when the movie came out that it reminded her of me, and I liked that. Now feels like a bit of a premonition. I just re-watched it after Jo, a fellow boater who I met at the end of my first trip was the one who told me told that I am living  "Under The Tuscan Sun" Boat- Edition.

So if you have seen or want to watch that movie, you'll get some ideas about how we got here, and what kind of energy I'm trying to live.

Ted-the dog and me are spending the good months of the Washington Weather on the boat.  Over the two years from buying the boat to now, it has gone from adventure and labor of love to a happy place, then a refuge and now home.

I had always planned to change the name, but when my cousins visited in the spring, Marian said, "you have to blog about this adventure and call it, "Angela's on Xta-Sea."  or Angela's Xta-Sea trip"

So here we go, let't take that trip!
